Why now? Why the sudden re-initiation of the “gang” injunction and over the top police harassment of native Black and Brown Venice residents? There is no substantiation for the over-aggressive LAPD harassment, let alone substantiation for their hyper-presence in the Oakwood area of Venice, CA, and mind you, these are but a few accounts of the recent barrage of harassment by LAPD Pacific Division.

If you don’t like what you see here, make it known! Voice and document your accounts of LAPD harassment. Make it known to Internal Affairs and your local City Council officers that you will not tolerate this harassment. Wow! I grew up on Westmunster and still attend Church there. I have the right right to relax at Oakwood Park without fear of harassment. My relatives will not be selling their homes. We will continue to live and worship in Venice.
That’s right.
Without any video showing what led up to the police putting this man in handcuffs there’s no context. Nobody that watches this with an open mind can determine if the cops were justified or not. In fact since the camera that shot this video was obviously on scene the entire time, the fact that the videographer chose to only start shooting any footage after whatever led up to this arrest was already over, any reasonable person could conclude that the police probably were justified in their actions. If they weren’t justified then why didn’t the guy with the camera shoot the entire incident ?
